About our Instructor


For over 26 years, Sifu David Budman has been training and teaching the Chinese Kung Fu styles of Northern Shao-Lin Long Fist, Plum Blossom, Eight Step, and Seven Star Praying Mantis styles, and Yang style Tai Chi.

Sifu Budman has been training with his Instructor, Grandmaster Duke Y.M. Cheng, of Cheng’s Shao-Lin Kung Fu School, Buena Park, Ca, since 1980. Sifu Budman is the highest ranking, and most senior student of Grandmaster Cheng, in North America. He is the first and only American student of Grandmaster Cheng to attain the title of “Sifu”.

Between 1999, and 2006, Sifu Budman, has been awarded 9 Championship medals: 4 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze, in International Kung Fu competitions held in Qingdao, and Yantai, Shandong Province, China.
